Please direct the parts and extra copy of this bulletin to your Service Manager
SUBJECT: FUEL HOSES & BRACKET.
MODEL: 1999/2000 HOLDEN FRONTERA.

1. Recall Campaign:
This bulletin is to advise Holden dealerships of the initiation of a Recall Campaign to Inspect and/or
Replace Fuel Hoses and Install Bracket.
Included in this bulletin is a description of the required rework, details of vehicles affected,
bracket/s, one fuel hose assembly and action required by Holden dealers.
2. Description of Defect:
A fuel hose assembly located underneath the vehicle, on the driver’s side, between the body and
transmission, may come into contact with the clutch pipe bracket. Subsequent damage to the fuel
hose may ultimately lead to a fuel leak.
3. Vehicles Affected:
This recall affects a number of 1999/2000 MX Holden Frontera models, which fall within the
following ISOVIN range:
VIN No.: 4S2UES30EX4101388 ~ 4S2UES30EX4101981
Please refer to the attached VIN List containing all the vehicles involved in this recall.
4. Dealership action required:
4.1 All Holden dealers will receive with this bulletin a VIN List containing the vehicle identification
numbers of all the vehicles involved in this recall. Bracket/s and one fuel hose assembly will be
included with this letter, for the selling Holden dealers indicated on the VIN list.
4.2 Any customer vehicle on the VIN List, presented to the dealership for any purpose, must have
this campaign action completed before the vehicle is returned to the customer.
4.3 Inspect the fuel hose assembly, replace as required and install a bracket. Follow the ‘Rework
Instructions’ refer point 9.
4.4 Place a Campaign Completion label, SD 28156 on the right hand front pillar, with details of the
campaign, 00-M-02, dealership code and date completed.
4.5 Submit a warranty claim, as per ‘Warranty Claim Information’.
