APPENDIX B - LPG Campai gn Rect ificati on Instructions
REPLACEMENT OF FRONT, INTERMEDI ATE AND REAR LPG SUPPLY PIPES.
LPG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Any servicing or testing of the LPG system must be performed by accredited personnel
in a “Speciali st Gas Workshop” i n accordance wit h Australian St andards AS 2746 - 1985
and AS 1425 - 1989.
DO NOT smoke or allow naked fl ames, or any ignit ion source near the vehicle.
LPG must NEVER be allowed to come in contact with any part of the body. Due to the
very low boiling point of LPG, it readily absorbs heat from its surroundings, or any
surface it comes into contact with when released into the atmosphere. LPG can cause
severe frostbite if it is all owed t o come i nt o cont act wi t h t he human body.
When working on the LPG system, suitable protective clothing including gloves and
safety goggles MUST be worn to prevent personal i njury.
LPG in the vapour form is highly flammable and in the interests of safety, the LPG
system should be leak tested and isolated by turning “OFF” the manual service valve
and draining supply pipes of LPG before any service work i s carried out on the vehicle.
During servicing, the manual service valve must be turned “OFF” at all times and the
supply pipes drained of LPG, except when the gas is required to be available for
servicing or testing of t he LPG system.
OVERVIEW OF SERVICE WO RK REQUIRED:
A. Degass the system
B. Parts Familiarisation
C. Remove Front, Intermediate and Rear Supply pipes.
D. Install new pipes.
E. Leak t est t he system .

5. Disconnect the batt ery earth lead.

Australian Standar d AS 2746-1985.

a naked flame or electrical spark, although Holden has not had any r epor ted incidents.
Until your vehicle has been rectified please DO NOT oper ate the vehicle on LPG. Use
petrol O NLY.
It is therefore necessary for you to make a service booking with a Holden dealership

VEHICLE SAFETY RECALL,
02-H-02
Dear Holden Customer,
As part of Holden’s ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction and safety, we have
initiated a safety- related recall for the front seat rail locking mechanism on Holden Barinas
built between 1 September, 2001 to 31 October, 2001 which could affect your vehicle.
Although Holden has not had any reported incidents, the locking mechanism inside the
seat rail can fail to lock and cause the seat to move forwards or backwards unexpectedly.
It is therefore necessary for you to contact a Holden Retailer of your choice as soon as
possible to have your vehicle inspected and if necessary, the seat rail assembly replaced.
All work will be carried out free of charge.
At the time of booking, your Retailer will be able to confirm how long your vehicle will be
required.
If you have any questions regarding this recall, please contact your Holden Retailer or call
the Holden Recall Assistance Line – 1800 632 826, where we will be pleased to assist.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please accept our apologies for any
inconvenience this may cause you.
Yours Sincerely
David McMurra y

APPENDIX A - Draf t – Cust omer Let t er
Dear Holden Customer ,
As part of Holden’s ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction, we have initiated a Vehicle
Recall Campaign affecting some TF Rodeo LT Sports model vehicles.
Holden has been made aware that an incorrect tyre placard has been fitted to some of these
vehicles.
In these cases the tyre placard does not specify the recommended tyre inflation pressures for
the wheel and tyre package fitted to the vehicle. It is an Australian Design Rule requirement
that the tyre pressure inf ormation is on the label.
To ensure the tyr e placard includes the recommended t yre inflation pressure for the wheel and
tyre package fit t ed to your vehicle, another t y r e placar d needs t o be applied.
Our records show that your Holden vehicle was manufactured with the incorrect tyre placard. It
is ther efore necessary f or you to m ake a booking, at your convenience, w ith a H o l den Reta iler of
your choice to have the cor r ect tyre placard fitt ed.
Work will be carried out free of charge and can be completed while you wait, provided the
necessary arrangem ent s have been made with a Holden Retailer .
If you should have any questions, please contact your retailer or call the Holden Recall and
Rework Assistance Centre on 1800 632 826, where we will be pleased to assist.
For furt her information regar ding the location of the exist ing t yr e placar d and adjustment of t y r e
pressures please refer to the owners handbook, page 7- 9.
Thank you f or your attention t o this matter. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience
