APPENDIX A - Draft Customer Letter
Dear Holden Customer,
As part of Holden’s ongoing commitment to customer safety, we have initiated
a vehicle safety recall campaign on model year 2004 and 2005 XC Combo light
commercial vehicles.
A discrepancy exists in the lower section of the printed details on the tyre
specification placard. This incorrect information is required to be rectified by
Holden. The current information on the placard is inconsistent and may lead
to some confusion when replacing tyres.
Our records indicate that your Holden vehicle was manufactured within the
affected range.
It is therefore necessary for you to contact a Holden Dealer of your choice, and
make a booking to have the tyre specification placard replaced with a new
placard at a suitable time to you, or during the next scheduled service at a Holden
Dealer.
Work will be carried out free of charge. At the time of booking, your Dealer will
be able to advise you how long your vehicle will be required for the work to be
completed.
If you have any questions, please contact your Holden Dealer or call the Holden
Recall and Rework Assistance Centre on 1800 632 826, where we will be pleased
to assist.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please accept our apologies for any
inconvenience that may be caused to you.
Yours sincerely

APPENDIX A - Draft Customer Letter
Dear Holden Customer,
As part of Holden’s ongoing commitment to customer safety, we have initiated
a vehicle safety recall campaign on some vehicles within the following VY All
Wheel Drive Model range: Adventra, Cross 8, HSV Avalanche and HSV
Avalanche XUV vehicles.
Holden has identified a potential hazard may exist when attempting to recover
vehicles from soft ground such as sand, mud or snow, when using the supplied
tow eye installed at the front attachment point. A possibility exists that the front
bumper beam may become detached from the vehicle in the above
circumstances.
Due to this possibility, Holden recommends that the tow eye and front
attachment point not be used for recovery purposes until all related
parts have been upgraded by your Holden Dealer.
Our records indicate that your Holden vehicle was manufactured within the
affected range.
It is therefore necessary for you to contact a Holden Dealer of your choice, and
make a booking to have the front bumper bar replaced, and the attachment
point reinforced as soon as possible.
The above work will be carried out free of charge. At the time of booking, your
Dealer will be able to advise you how long your vehicle will be required for the
work to be completed.
If you have any questions, please contact your Holden Dealer or call the Holden
Recall and Rework Assistance Centre on 1800 632 826, where we will be pleased
to assist.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please accept our apologies for any
inconvenience that may be caused to you.
