Introduction
Your Bluetooth car kit allows you to answer incoming calls on your mobile
phone without looking at or touching your mobile phone. Your Bluetooth voice
capable mobile phone need only be inside the vehicle for it to connect to the
Bluetooth car kit.
Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Bluetooth devices communicate using radio waves. The Bluetooth car kit is
specifically designed for mobile phones that support Bluetooth wireless
technology. The Bluetooth car kit can be used with devices that support the
handsfree profile. "Profile" in this instance means a set of Bluetooth
commands that your mobile phone uses for controlling your Bluetooth car kit.
Your Bluetooth mobile phone and Bluetooth car kit do not need to be in a line
of sight. For example, your mobile phone may be in your bag whilst connected
to the Bluetooth car kit. The two devices need to be within a maximum of 10
metres of each other.
Mobile Phone Functionality
Mobile phones differ in their method of menu navigation. Furthermore,
software releases of mobile phones with the same design can vary
significantly. Therefore, please carefully read the operating guidelines of your
mobile phone. Specifically take note of the functions relating to the topics
"Bluetooth", "hands-free" and "headset mode".
The capacity of your mobile phone's battery can quickly decrease when the
Bluetooth function is active. If you do not want to use the Bluetooth function
(i.e. when leaving your vehicle for an extended period) then deactivate this
function on your mobile phone.
Some functions described in this owners manual may not be available on your
mobile phone.
Further Information
Refer to your mobile phone's owners manual, mobile phone retailer or mobile
phone service provider for information that relates specifically to your mobile
phone. If you have any questions concerning the installation or operation of
your Bluetooth car kit, please contact Lumen Australia 1800 007 098.

To connect your mobile phone to the Bluetooth car kit:

preferably inside the vehicle.

Making a Call
Dialling Using Your Mobile Phone Handset
When the Bluetooth car kit is connected to your mobile phone, you can make
calls with your mobile phone handset normally.
CAUTION: It is recommended that the driver of the vehicle does not use this
method.
Voice Dialling
If you wish to use the voice dial functions of your mobile phone (provided that
your mobile phone is capable), entries for dialing phone numbers with voice
dialing have to be pre-recorded. These voice commands can then be called
via the Bluetooth car kit with the active Bluetooth connection. To configure
voice dialing on your mobile phone, refer to your mobile phone's owner's
manual.
To voice dial:
1. Ensure that there is no call in progress.
2. Press the Bluetooth button once. A tone will be heard indicating readiness
to accept voice input.
3. The Bluetooth car kit plays back the voice tag and dials the corresponding
phone number.

Vehicle Audio System
The vehicle's audio system volume is automatically set to silent when you
make or receive a call. The voice of the caller is heard through the audio
system speakers and "VOICE IN" is shown on the audio system display.
Volume, bass, treble, fader and balance can be adjusted in the audio system's
telephone mode without affecting the radio or CD settings.
Setting Up Your Audio System
CAUTION: It is recommended that the vehicle is stationary when making
changes to the audio system's telephone mode settings.
To set up your audio system for Bluetooth:
1. Make a call using the Bluetooth car kit.
2. Press the audio system's volume knob until "FADER" is shown in the
audio system display. Rotate the volume knob until the F6 setting is
displayed. This sets the fader to the front of the vehicle.
3. Press the audio system's volume knob until "BALANCE" is shown in the
audio system display. Rotate the volume knob until the R6 setting is
displayed. This sets the balance to the driver's side of the vehicle.
4. Adjust the mobile phone volume to a medium level using the volume
control on the mobile phone itself.
5. Adjust the audio system volume to a comfortable listening level.
6. End the call.
As required, the audio system's volume may be adjusted to compensate for
variations in the mobile phone signal quality or changes in the background
noise within the vehicle.
NOTE: If the call sounds unusually distorted, the volume setting on the mobile
