Screw Driver- Phillips Head, Marking Pen

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: On completion of the installation of the tow

bar and prior to the refit of the rear fascia, the trailer

wiring harness must be installed at this stage.

1. Remove the air extraction vent from the right hand

side of the vehicle. Refer Fig ure 1.

2. Remove the access trim panel on the RH rear 'D'

pillar. Refer Figure 2.

3. Remove the sealing grommet from the rear end

lower panel and discard. Refer Figure 3.

4. Insert the trailer wiring harness through the access

hole and feed it through to the air extraction vent

aperture. Refer Figure 4.

5. Continue feeding the harness through the access

hole and install the grommet. Refer Figure 5.

6. Continue feeding the harness connector up

between the inner and outer panel into the rear tail

lamp area. Refer Figure 6.

7. Pull back the soft cover to access harness. Pull up

the harness and connect to the vacant connector.

Refer Figure 7.

Note: Check operation of the trailer wiring harness

prior to continuing the installation procedure.

8. Re-install the soft cover, 'D' pillar trim panel and air

extraction vent.

9. Tie strap 2 places, the trailer wiring harness to the

tow bar cross tube. Refer Figure 8.

10. Note: Continue installation of the rear fascia.

11. Using the trailer harness connector as a template,

positioned adjacent the tow bar tongue, mark on the

fascia, the center line width locations of the

mounting holes. Refer Figure 9.

12. Align the U-nuts and install to the centerline width

locations of the connector mounting holes. Refer

Figure 10.

13. Align the connector plug with the U-nuts and install

the screws. Tighten to specified torque. Refer

Figure 11.

Note: Pre-drilling of holes is not required.

14. Place fitting instructions in the vehicles glove box.
