GENERAL INFORMATION
CAUTION:
HSV vehicles are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). An SRS
consists of seat belt pre-tensioners (fitted to all front seats), a driver’s-side air bag, a
passenger’s-side air bag and left and right hand side air bags. Refer to CAUTIONS,
Section 12M Occupant Protection System in the MY 2005 VZ Series Service
Information before performing any service operation on or around SRS components,
the steering mechanism or wiring. Failure to follow the CAUTIONS could result in
personal injury or unnecessary SRS system repairs.

GROUP 0A - GENERAL INFORMATION
The HSV VZ SV6000 series is a Limited Edition based on the VZ Clubsport R8,
combining all the features of the Clubsport R8 with many new styling, performance
and luxury features. These HSV components, assemblies and fittings are not described
in service-type manuals produced for standard Holden models.
The purpose of this Supplement is to provide information on the unique HSV
components fitted to HSV VZ SV6000 vehicles. The information in this document is
designed to supplement the information contained in the Holden and HSV VZ series
Service Manuals, and details are given where differences occur between the HSV
models and standard Holden models. A series of instruction drawings describe the
design changes and indicate specific part numbers, fitting instructions and relevant
notes for vehicle servicing.
The features fitted to a HSV SV6000 which differ from a HSV Clubsport R8 are as
follows:
EXTERIOR:
Devil Yellow body colour.
Specific SV6000 colour coded badgeing and stripeing.
Unique open mesh fender vents.
“Yellow Sprint” 19’ wheels.
INTERIOR:
Tyre Pressure monitors (TPM) fitted as standard.
Anthricite leather, yellow stitched steering wheel.
Yellow SV6000 Door Trim Inserts
Yellow stiching on all interior trim.
Dynamic Driver Interface. (DDI)
POWERTRAIN:
Unique yellow LS2 engine cover.
Unique AP six piston brakes fitted as standard.
HSV Linear Steering Rack
HSV Power Steering Oil Cooler
Front strut tower brace.

HSV vehicles can be identified by the HSV Vehicle Build Plate, which is mounted in
the engine compartment. An example of an HSV Build Plate is shown on Drawing
1A2F050051.
