1. GENERAL INFORM ATION
1.1 BERLINA INTERNATIONAL
WAGON
The MY2003 VY Series Berlina International wagon (Production Option A8X ) was introduced during October 2002.
The following is a summary of the additional equipment available as part of the Berlina International wagon:
The roof rails and endgate wind deflector are painted body colour.
Unique name plates on the lift gate. For detailed information regarding the ornamentation for Berlina
International Models not covered in this Section, refer to 2.3 NAME PLATES AND DECALS in Section 1A9,
Exterior Ornamentation in the VX/VU/WH Series II Service Information.
Are fitted with 17x8 inch alloy wheels and P235/45R17 95H low profile sports tyres.
Headlamp and bezel as fitted to MY2003 VY Series Calais Models.
Fog lamp and bezel as fitted to MY2003 VY Series Calais Models.
The exterior mirrors scalps and lift gate handle receive a satin chrome finish.
Dual zone occupant climate control (auto A/C) system as fitted to MY2003 VY Series Calais Models.
8 way power seats with unique leather trim.
Unique leather door trims.
The interior door handles, gear selector button, instrument panel badge, instrument cluster gauge surrounds
and park brake buttons receive a satin chrome finish.
Unique floor mats with logo for the cargo area, front and rear seat positions.
The transmission selector lever surround and front console compartment door receive a fishmark green cubic
patterned finish.
1.2 LUMINA
SEDAN
The MY2003 VY Series Lumina sedan (Production Option A8Y) was introduced during November 2002. The
following is a summary of the additional equipment available as part of the Lumina sedan:
Unique 16x7 inch alloy wheels and 225/55R16 tyres.
The grille surrounds, licence plate surround, rocker panel skirts, lower facias, exterior door handles, body side
mouldings and exterior mirrors are painted body colour.
New ‘Dimension’ pattern door trim insert and seat fabrics.
Power windows, manual control air conditioning and cruise control as standard equipment.
Single tone anthracite leather wrapped steering wheel.
Unique ‘Lumina SRS’ badge on the instrument panel pad.
Unique decklid ornamentation.
WAGON
The MY2003 VY Series Lum ina wagon (Production Option A8Y) was introduc ed during Novem ber 2002. In addition
to the equipment listed above for the MY2003 Lumina Sedan Model, the following is a summary of the additional
equipment available as part of the Lumina wagon:
Roof bars as fitted standard to MY2003 VY Series Berlina Wagon Models.
Unique liftgate ornamentation.

WAGON
The MY2003 VY Series Equipe wagon (Production Option A8S) was introduced dur ing April 2003. In addition to the
equipment listed above for the MY2003 Equipe Sedan Model, the following is a summary of the additional
equipment available as part of the Equipe Wagon:

Roof bars as fitted standard to MY2003 VY Series Berlina Wagon Models.

1.4 SS WAGON
The MY2003 VY Series Storm Utility (Produc tion Option A8U) was introduced during J une 2003. The following is a
summary of the additional equipment available as part of the Storm Utility:

Side airbags (Production Option AJ7)
Body colour painted exterior door handles, body side mouldings and exterior mirrors.
The handbrake lever assembly.

The MY2003 VY Series Strom Utility (Production Option A8U) was introduc ed during June 2003. The Storm Utility is
based on the 'S' pack Utility, but includes the following additional equipment:
17x8 inch alloy wheel and 235/45R17 tyres.
Manual control air-conditioning (Production Option C60) fitted standard.
Front facia as fitted to MY2003 VY Series 'S;' Sedan Models.
Rocker panel mouldings and rear bumperettes as fitted to MY2003 VY Series SS Utility Models.
Sports suspension (Production Option FE2) fitted standard.
Passenger’s airbag (Production Option AK5) fitted standard.

The MY2003 VY Series CV8-R Monaro ( Production Option A9B) was introduc ed during July 2003. T he following is

Unique ‘CV8-R’ rear name plate with all exterior badging in bright chrome finish.
Unique body colour including door handles, Berry Red.
Unique 8J x 18 “ alloy road wheel fitted with 235/40R18 91W tyres.
Front and rear turn signal lamps are equipped with silver vision globes.
Six speed manual transmission (Standard).
Four speed automatic transmission (Optional).
‘SS’ black interior components.
Light Shale leather seat trim with perforated inserts.
Light Shale leather upper door trim.
Light Shale suede lower door trim.

Unique instrument cluster with white dials in WK mask layout and satin chrome rings.
