1 General Information 
The servicing and diagnosis information of the HVAC system for MY 2004 AWD Wagon vehicles carries over from the 
information provided in Section 2C HVAC Climate Control (Manual A/C) – Servicing and Diagnosis in the MY 2003 VY 
and V2 Series Service Information, noting that some information is not applicable.  
The following information, which is contained within the above reference, does not apply to MY 2004 AWD Wagon 
vehicles: 
•  7 Electrical Component Tests 
•  9 Wiring Diagrams 
It should also be noted that some information contained in 8 Vacuum Retention Tests does not apply to MY 2004 AWD 
Wagon vehicles. That information is as follows:  
•  Vacuum Circuit Schematics, Figures 2C – 19 and 2C – 20 
•  Vacuum Loss Default Settings information and schematics, Figures 2C – 21 and 2C – 22 
•  8.3 Vacuum Mode Valve 
•  8.4 Water Valve Vacuum Switch 
•  8.5 Vacuum Actuators and Lines 
All other information contained within Section 2C HVAC Climate Control (Manual A/C) – Servicing and Diagnosis in the 
MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service Information can be used for service and diagnosis of MY 2004 AWD Wagon 
vehicles. 
For additional diagnostic information, refer to the following Sections as required:

Information, noting that information in 5 Wiring Diagrams and all LHD information do not apply.

information specifically applicable to MY 2004 AWD Wagon vehicles.
