1 General Information
With the following exceptions, MY 2004 VY and V2 Series Body information carries over from MY 2003 VY and V2
Series vehicles. For information not contained within this Section, refer to Section 1A1 Body in the MY 2003 VY and V2
Series Service Information.
• Coupe rear wheelhouse liner
• Front suspension strut brace
The rear wheelhouse liner fitted to Coupe vehicles has been modified to accommodate a revised rear bumper fascia
and attachment. For service operations for the rear bumper assembly fitted to MY2004 V2 Coupe vehicles refer to
Section 1D, Bumper Bars in the MY2004 VY and V2 Series Service Information.
A front suspension strut brace is attached to the front suspension towers and provides additional torsional stiffness to the
body structure.

2 Service Operations
2.1 Rear Wheelhouse Liner – Coupe
Remove
1 Remove the rear road wheel, refer Section 10,
Wheels & Tyres.
2 Remove the screw (1) attaching the rear bumper
fascia (2) at the wheelarch opening.
3 Remove the screw (3), two places, attaching the rear
bumper fascia to the wheelhouse liner and rear
bumper fascia guide.
4 Carefully partially unclip the fascia from the fascia
guide.

5 Remove the retainer (1) attaching the rear
wheelhouse liner (2) to the vehicle.
6 Manipulate the liner from within the wheelhouse and
remove.

Reinstall
1 Install the rear wheelhouse liner ensuring it is correctly located behind the rear bumper fascia.
2 Install the retainer attaching the liner to the vehicle.
3 Install the screws attaching the rear bumper fascia and tighten to the specified torque.

4 Install the rear road wheel, refer Section 10, Wheels And Tyres.

2.2 Front Suspension Strut Brace
Remove
1 Remove the nuts (1), four places, attaching the front
suspension strut brace to the suspension strut towers.
2 Remove the brace from the towers.

Reinstall
Reinstallation is the reverse of removal. Ensure the components are tightened to the correct torque specification.
