1 General Information
With the following exceptions, MY 2004 VY HBD sunroof information carries over from MY 2003 VY and V2 Series
vehicles:
• sunroof power harness, and
• diagnosis.
For information not contained within this Section, refer to Section 1F1 Sunroof in the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service
Information, and Section 1F2 Sunroof in the MY 2004 VY and V2 Series Service Information.
1.1 Sunroof Assembly
Sunroof Power Harness
Sedan
The sunroof power harness is routed from the sunroof control unit (SCU) along the C pillar, through a hole in the rear
window panel assembly, and is connected to the body harness in the rear compartment of the vehicle. The ground wire
of the sunroof power harness is attached to the right-hand quarter panel inner assembly.
Wagon
The sunroof power harness carries over from MY 2003 VY and V2 Series vehicles.

2.1 Sunroof Power Harness
Sedan
The removal and installation of the sunroof power harness for sedan carries over from the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series
vehicles HBD sunroof power harness, configuration two. Refer to Section 1F1, 2.17 Sunroof Power Harness in the
MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service Information.
Wagon
The removal and installation of the sunroof power harness for wagon carries over from the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series
vehicles HBD sunroof power harness, configuration one. Refer to Section 1F1, 2.17 Sunroof Power Harness in the
MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service Information.

3 Diagnosis
3.1 Fault Diagnosis Charts
Sedan
The diagnosis for HBD sunroof on sedan vehicles is identical to the online sunroof diagnosis for MY 2004 VY and V2
Series vehicles.
For a complete diagnosis of the HBD sunroof on sedan vehicles, refer to Section 1F2 Sunroof in the MY 2004 VY and V2
Series Service Information.
Wagon
The diagnosis for HBD sunroof on wagon vehicles is identical to the HBD sunroof diagnosis for MY 2003 VY and V2
Series vehicles.
NOTE
This diagnosis is applicable to HBD sunroofs
equipped with a configuration one power harness
only, refer to 2.1 Sunroof Power Harness.
