1 General Information
The MY 2004 VY and V2 Series cellular phone information carries over from MY 2003 VY and V2 Series information. For
all cellular phone information, refer to Section 12G Cellular Phone in the MY 2003 VY a nd V2 Series Service Information.
1.1 Mobile Phone Antenna
Mobile Phone Antenna Pad – Coupe
The installation of a fixed external mobile phone antenna to the rear glass on V2 Series coupe vehicles ma y lead to
interference between the audio system and the mobile phone antenna if it is not mounted in the correct location. To
prevent this from happening, Figure 12G – 1 indicates the recommended location for the mobile phone antenna to be
installed in order to minimise interferenc e between the vehicle’s radio s ystem s.

Window tinting is not recommended on any
glass that has printed antenna coils attached.
Metallic-based tint material significantly
reduces radio reception in both the AM and
FM bands, whereas dye-based tint material
reduces reception in the FM band.
