1 General Information
All MY 2004 VY and V2 Series vehicles are fitted with electrically adjustable exterior rear-view mirrors. The interior
rear-view mirror is manually adjusted. Two types of exterior and interior rear view mirrors are used across the MY 2004
VY and V2 Series model range:
• Exterior mirrors have a black base with black or body-colour upper housings. For all service information relating to
exterior rear-view mirrors as fitted to MY 2004 VY and V2 Series vehicles, except level 3 domestic models, refer to
Section 12H Rear-view Mirrors in the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service Information.
• On level 3 domestic models, the exterior mirror operating system is the same as that fitted to Level 5 MY 2004 WK
Series vehicles. The mirror housings are black with body colour upper housings. These mirrors are also heated and
integrate with the front seat memory system. For operational and electrical information relating to rear-view mirrors
as fitted to high level MY 2004 VY and V2 Series vehicles, refer to Section 1A7 Seat Assemblies in this Se rvice
Information. For information relating to the replacement of the heated mirror glass, refer to Section 12H, 2.2 Heated
Exterior Mirror Glass in the MY 2004 WK Series Service Information. For all other information relating to exterior
rear-view mirrors as fitted to level 3 domestic MY 2004 VY and V2 Series vehicles, refer to Section 12H Rear-vie w
Mirrors in the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service Information.
• MY2004 V2 Series vehicles are now fitted with an electro-chromatic interior rear-view mirror. For more information
relating to the electro-chromatic interior rear-view mirror, refer to Section 12H, 2.1 Electro-chromatic Interior Rear-
view Mirror in the MY 2004 WK Series Service Information.
• The Telematics (Holden Assist) system is fitted as optional equipment on all MY 2004 VY and V2 Series vehicles. If
the Telematics system is fitted, the interior rear-view mirror will incorporate the Telematics system switches,
microphone and LEDs. For all information regarding the interior rear-view mirror fitted as part of the Telematics
system, refer to Section 12K Telematics in the MY 2004 VY Series and V2 Series Service Information. For all other
