1 General Information
This Section provides information o n the Bod y Control Module (BCM) fitted to the MY 2004 VY and V2 Series vehicles.
1.1 General Description
In the event that a BCM is to be replaced in a vehicle, ensure that the correct BCM is used. T he following tables help
identify the level of BCM installed in both domestic and export vehicles. The BCM features appl icable to MY 2004 VY
and V2 Series vehicles are al so included.
MY 2004 VY and V2 BCM Features
The BCM features used in the MY 2004 VY and V2 Seri es vehicles are identical to those used in the MY 2003 VY and
V2 Series vehicles. At the start of production commencing 01-April-03, the MY 2004 BCMs identified in the table be low
superseded the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series BCM.
NOTE
The only change to the BCM is that the printed
circuit board inside the case was remounted
upside down compared to the earlier version.
This means that the positions of the A15-X1,
A15-X2, A15-X3 and A15-X4 connector positions
are now physically reversed. T his change permits
easier access to connector X4 for installation an d
servicing purposes.

New MY 2004 VY and V2 BCM Features
The only additional feature a dded to MY 2004 VY and V2 Series BCM circuits affects the front power windows. All low
series vehicles (with the exception of the ba s e model utility) are now fitted with power windows.

1.2 Power Window System
Rear Window Regulators and Door Harness Connector
During MY2004 VY and V2 vehicle pro duction, both the front and rear power window regulators were replaced with a
regulator from a different manufacturer. The new regulators have different connector arrangements that are e xplained in
the table below.
Door Type Comments
Front door regulators The new regulators come with an adaptor cable
that permits them to connect directly into the
former regulator’s Door Wiring Harness (DWH)
connector.
Rear door regulators The new regulators do not hav e an adaptor cable
to permit installation of the regulator into the
existing DWH.
A special DWH cable that has the new M14
connector fitted replaces the former DWH.
Regulator Assembly Breakpoint Information
The following table identifies the various points during prod uction in which the vehicles listed changed over from the old
regulators to the new regulators.

VY04 All vehicles –front window regulators for RHD & LHD
vehicles. L199170
VY04 All vehicles –rear window regulators for RHD & LHD
vehicles. L195338
Electrical Wiring Details
The electrical wiring of the rear power window circuits remains unchanged. The wire colours within the DWH also remain
unchanged.
Refer to MY2003 VY and V2 Series vehicles Section 12J, 1.9 Power Window System for further information.
