1 General Information
With the following exceptions, MY 2004 VY Wipers, Washers and Horn information carries over from MY 2003 VY Series
vehicles:
• wiper and washer control switch,
• diagnose rear wiper motor assembly wiring,
• wiring diagram – wipers and washers, and
• connector diagrams – wipers and washers.
For information not contained within this Section, refer to Sectio n 12N Wipers, Washers and Horn in the MY 2003 VY
and V2 Series Service Information.
NOTE
Refer to the relevant MY 2004 VY and V2 Section
for all external references contained in the
MY 2003 VY and V2 Series, Section 12N Wipers,
Washers and Horn. This is to verify that there are
no differences in the MY 2004 VY and V2 Service
Information that will affect the service procedures
referenced from the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series
Service Information.

2 Service Operations – Wipers and
Washers
2.1 Wiper and Washer Control Switch
LT Section –
The wiper and washer control switch is identical to the MY 2003 VY Series vehicles, except for the wiper dwell
module R23 which has been renamed wiper/washer pulse continuous module A121, and the wiper dwell module
connector R23 – X1 which has been renamed connector A121 – X1.
When performing the test of the wiper and washer control switch, refer to Section 12N, 2.9 Wiper and Washer Control
Switch in the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service Information.

2.2 Rear Wiper Motor Assembly, Wagon
LT Section –
Diagnose Wiper Motor Assembly Wiring
The diagnosis of the rear wiper motor assembly wiring is identical to the MY 2003 VY Series vehicles, except for the
connector X200 included in circuits 243 and 393.
