1 General Information
With the following exceptions, MY 2004 VY and V2 Series Hydra-matic 4L60-E Automatic Transmission Service
Information carries over from MY 2003 VY and V2 Series vehicles. For information not contained within this Section,
refer to Section 7C1, Automatic Transmission in the MY 2003 VY and V2 Series Service Information.
• New exhaust system is fitted to MY 2004 VY and V2 Series Vehicles. Where the Automatic Transmission service
procedure includes the removal of an exhaust system component, refer to Section 8B Exhaust System in the
MY 2004 VY and V2 Service Information.
• A revised neutral start and back-up lamp switch is
fitted which features a single connector (1) that
incorporates a release bar (2).
