SECTION 4A - REAR SUSPENSION
IMPORTANT
Before performing any Service Operation or other procedure described in this Section, refer to Section

1. GENERAL I NFORMATI O N
Independent rear suspension (IRS) is fitted as standard equipment on all V2 Series Models. The IRS is equipped
with variable rate minibloc coil rear springs, direct acting shock absorbers, stabiliser bar and multi-link control arms.
The IRS fitted to V2 Series Models carries over from VX Series II Models noting the following:
• Unique sports tuned suspension, including springs, shock absorbers and stabiliser bar combination is fitted to
V2 Series Models.
For information relating to the rear suspension fitted to V2 Series Models not covered in this section, refer to
Section 4A REAR SUSPENSION in the VX Series II Service Information in conjunction with Section 4A REAR
SUSPENSION in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Information.
2. SERVICE OPERATIONS
The s ervice operations f or the independent rear sus pension (IRS) as fitted to V2 Series Models car ry over from VX
Series II Models.
For information relating to the service operations for the rear suspension fitted to V2 Series Models, refer
Section 4A REAR SUSPENSION in the VX Series II Service Information in conjunction with Section 4A REAR
SUSPENSION in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Information.
