SECTION 2A - AIR CONDITIONING
IMPORTANT:

1. GENERAL I NFORMATI O N
Air conditioning for VU Series Models carry over from VX Series Models with minor changes to ducting to suit the
utility cabin.
Cabin ventilation ins er ts are pr ovided beneath the rear c ompartment tonneau floor to allow the eff ic ient flow through
of air entering the cabin via the air conditioning and ventilation systems. Flow through air enters the inserts from
behind the passenger seat and exits beneath the vehicle.

2. DESCRIPTI O N AND OPERATION

Series Models not c overed in this Sec tion, refer to Section 2A HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING DESCRIPTION
AND OPERATION in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Information.
3. REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
3.1 VENTILATION INSERT
REMOVE
1. If fitted, remove the LPG cylinder and mounting hardware, refer to Section 8A2 - LPG SYTEM.
2. Remove the load c ompar tment f ront tonneau floor ref er to 2.4 FRONT TONNEAU FLOOR, Section 1A4 LOAD
COMPARTMENT AND ENDGATE.
3. Firmly grasp the ventilation insert, and c arefully work the lower edge up and away from the body bac k panel to
disengage the ventilation insert locking tabs.
NOTE: The locking tabs on the ventilation insert are extremely difficult to disengage. Damage to the ventilation
insert may be difficult to avoid during the removal process.
