SECTION 1C – RADIATOR GRILLE
IMPORTANT
Before performing any Service Operation or other procedure described in this Section, refer to Section
00 CAUTIONS AND NOTES for correct workshop practices with regard to safety and/or property damage.
1. GENERAL DESCRI PTI O N
Excluding S and SS Models, VX Series Models have an integrated grille / bum per bar as sem bly with a plastic grille
insert.
VX Ser ies S and SS Models have an integrated grille / bumper bar ass em bly with the grille being a m oulded par t of
the facia assembly.
2. SERVICE OPERATIONS
2.1 RADIATOR GRILLE INSERT
EXECUTIVE & ACCLAIM
REMOVE
1. Raise the engine hood.
2. Remove the four screws (1) securing the grille
inserts (2) to the top of the bumper facia
assembly and lift the grille inserts out and up.
REINSTALL
Reinstallation of the radiator grille is the reverse of
the removal procedure, noting the following:
1. Ensure the retaining lugs on the lower edge of
the grille ins ert are loc ated in their mating holes
in the bumper facia assembly (3).
2. Tighten the retaining screws to the correct
torque specification.

REMOVE
1. Raise the engine hood.
2. Remove the three s c rews ( 1) s ec ur ing the grille
insert (2) to the front panel assembly and slide
the grille insert forward to disengage the lower
retaining / locating legs.
REINSTALL
Reinstallation of the radiator grille insert is the
reverse of the removal procedure, noting the
following:
1. Ensure the three retaining / locating legs are
correctly seated into the bumper facia slots (3).
2. Tighten the retaining screws to the correct
torque specification.
