SECTION 12F - THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM

IMPORTANT:

Before performing any Service Operation or other procedure described in this Section, refer to Section

00 CAUTIONS AND NOTES for correct workshop practices with regard to safety and/or property damage.

1. GENERAL I NFORMATI O N

1.1 VX SERIES II MODELS

The theft deterrent system fitted to all VX Series II Models is carry over from VT Series II Models, noting the

following:

• The alarm previously fitted to vehicles with high series BCM is now fitted as standard equipment on all models.

For all service information, including general information, service operations and diagnosis of the theft deterrent

system, ref er to either Sec tion 12J- 2 HIGH SERIES BCM in the VT Series II Service Inf or mation in conj unction with

Section 12J-1 LOW SERIES BCM in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Inform ation or Section 12J-2 HIGH

SERIES BCM in the VT Series I Service Information.

1.2 VU SERIES II MODELS

The theft deterrent system fitted to all VU Series II Models is carry over from VT Series II Models, noting the

following:

• The alarm previously fitted to vehicles with high series BCM is now fitted as standard equipm ent on S and SS

models.

For all service information, including general information, service operations and diagnosis of the theft deterrent

system, refer to either Section 12J-2 HIGH SERIES BCM in the VT Series II Service Information in conjunction with

Section 12J-1 LOW SERIES BCM in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Information or Section 12J-2 HIGH

SERIES BCM in the VT Series I Service Information.

1.3 WH SERIES II MODELS

The theft deterrent system fitted to WH Series II Models is carry over from WH Series I Models.The theft deterrent

system is controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM). For all service information, including general information,

service operations and diagnosis of the theft deterrent system, refer to either Section 12J-2 HIGH SERIES BCM in

the WH Series I Service Information in conjunction with Section 12J-2 HIGH SERIES BCM in the VT Series II

Service Information.
