SECTION 12K - ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE
FRONT SEATS

1. GENERAL I NFORMATI O N
1.1 VX SERIES II MODELS
The elec tric ally adjustable f r ont s eats on VX Ser ies II Models c ar ries over from VT Series II Models. For inf or mation
relating to the electric ally adjustable front s eats fitted to VX Series II Models, refer to Section 1A7 SEAT AND SEAT
BELT ASSEMBLIES in the VT Series II Service Information, in conjunction with Section 1A7 SEAT AND SEAT
BELT ASSEMBLIES in the VT Series I Service Information.
1.2 VU SERIES II MODELS
The elec trically adjustable fr ont seats on VU Ser ies II Models c arries over from VU Ser ies I Models. For inform ation
relating to the elec tric ally adjustable front seats f itted to VU Ser ies II Models , r ef er to Section 1A7 SEAT AND SEAT
BELT ASSEMBLIES in the VU Series I Service Information, in conjunction with Section 1A7 SEAT AND SEAT
BELT ASSEMBLIES in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Information.
1.3 WH SERIES II MODELS
The electrically adjustable front seats on WH Series II Models carries over from WH Series I Models. For
information relating to the electrically adjustable front seats fitted to WH Series II Models, refer to Section 1A7 SEAT
AND SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES in the WH Series I Service Information, in conjunction with Section 1A7 SEAT
AND SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES in the VT Series I and VT Series II Service Information.
NOTE: The electrically adjustable front driver’s seat on W H Series II Caprice Models has the additional feature of
memory control, where the seat position can be stored in memory and recalled by either pushing a button on the
side of the seat or by pressing the unlock button on the remote coded key (priority key system). For information
regarding the priority key system, including diagnostic procedures, refer to Section 12J-2 HIGH SERIES BODY
CONTROL MODULE in the WH Series I Service Information.
