1. GENERAL I NFORMATION

Engine tuning is sim plified by electronic control of both the air/fuel m ixture and the ignition tim ing by the Power train

Control Module (PCM), which controls the ratio of the air/fuel mixture to near optimum condition.

The PCM fitted to VX, VU and W H Series II Models carries over from VX Series I Models. For inform ation relating

to engine tune for VX, VU or W H Series II Models, refer to Section 6F3 ENGINE TUNE - GEN III V8 ENGINE and

Section 6C3 POWERTRAIN MANAGEMENT – GEN III V8 ENGINE in the VX Series Service Information, in

conjunction with Section 6F3 ENGINE TUNE - GEN III V8 ENGINE in the VT Series II Service Information.
