SECTION 8A1 - FUEL TANK
IMPORTANT:
Before performing any Service Operation or other procedure described in this Section, refer to Section
00 CAUTIONS AND NOTES for correct workshop practices with regard to safety and/or property
damage.
1. GENERAL INFORMA TION
1.1 VX AND WH SERIES II MODELS
The fuel tank as fitted to VX and WH Series II Models carries over from VT Series II Models noting the following:
• The modular fuel sender assembly as fitted to vehicles with normally aspirated V6 or GEN III V8 engines has
been revised to a single turbine type pump.
• The modular fuel sender assembly for VX and W H Series II Models with normally aspirated V6 or GEN III V8
engines can no longer be serviced seperatel y. If the fuel pum p is faulty, the entir e fuel sender assem bly must
be replaced.
For information relating to the fuel tank fitted to VX or WH Series II Models not covered in this section, refer to
Section 8 A FUEL TANK in the VT Series II Servic e Information, in c onjunction wit h Section 8A FU EL TANK in the

1.2 VU SERIES II MODELS
The fuel tank as fitted to VU Series II Models carries over from VU Series I Models. For information relating to the
fuel tank fitted to VU Series II Models not covered in this section, refer to Section 8A1 FUEL TANK in the
VU Series I Service Information, in conjunction with Section 8A FUEL TANK in the VT Series I and VT Series II
Service Information.
2. SERVICE OPERATIONS
2.1 VX AND WH SERIES II MODELS
The service operations for the fuel tank as fitted to VX and WH Series II Models carry over from VT Series II
Models. For further information relating to the fuel tank as fitted to VX or WH Series II Models, refer to Section 8A
FUEL TANK in the VT Series II Service Information in conjunctio n with Sec ti on 8A FUEL TAN K in the VT Series I
Service Information.
