1 General Information
This Section provides information on the Body Control Module (BCM) fitted to the MY2004 WK Series vehicles. There
are five levels of vehicle in the WK Series. These are:
Level 1 – Chevrolet Caprice LS,
Level 2 – Chevrolet Caprice LTZ,
Level 3 – Chevrolet Caprice SS,
Level 4 – Holden Statesman, and
Level 5 – Holden Caprice and Chevrolet Caprice Royale.
1.1 General Description
LEVEL VEHICLE TYPE BCM PART NUMBER
Level 1 Chevrolet Caprice LS 92155210
Level 2 Chevrolet Caprice LTZ 92155209
Level 3 Chevrolet Caprice SS 92155211
Level 4 Holden Statesman 92155211
Level 5 Holden Caprice,
Chevrolet Caprice Royale 92155211
The functions and features for each of the BCMs are the same as those fitted to the MY2003 VY Series.
One additional function implemented by a software change affects only high series BCM models and effects those
vehicles fitted with Telematics.
The function of the accessory control relay is changed to permit audio and the Multi Function Display (MFD) to be active
during an incoming tele pho ne call.
When there is an incoming call to the Telematics module during the time that the accessory relay is inactive, the BCM
will receive a serial data message from the Telematics module, which will then activate the accessory control relay
permitting the radio to operate for Radio Mute function (controlled by Telematics). Refer to Section 12K Telematics for
further details.
For further information on the BCM, refer to Section 12J Body Control Module in the MY2003 VY and V2 Series Service
Information. For wiring details refer to Section 12P Wiring Diagrams in this Service Information.

Security
With the introduction of the DVD player and the Audio Interface Module in the WK Series, an additional TECH 2 function
has been added to the WK Series TECH 2 software. To access this security function, select the following from the
WK Series Body Application menu: Body Control Module / Security / AIM Link to BCM. Once selected, follow the screen
instructions to perform the linking function.
AIM Link to BCM
This linking function allows the technician to link the Audio Interface Module (AIM) to the BCM. This function must be
performed if the AIM or the BCM has been replaced. If the AIM is not linked to the BCM the DVD Player will not operate.
For further information on the AIM to BCM linking procedure, refer to Section 12D, 3.23 Security – Audio Interface
Module in this Service Information.
