Removal and Installation

1 General Information

The information that is referred to in this Section is to be used for both left and right-hand drive vehicles. Although the

information is primarily right-hand drive, it also applies to left-hand drive vehicles unless otherwise specified.

The instrument panel for left-hand drive vehicles is a mirror of the right-hand drive instrument panel, with some design

variations. The body control module remains on the right-hand side of the vehicle, mounted vertically for right-hand drive

or horizontally for left-hand drive. A fuel filler door release switch is mounted in the left-hand drive instrument cluster trim.

There are five levels of MY2004 WK Series models:

• Level 1 models are produced for LHD markets only and are fitted with an instrument panel and manual air

conditioning system (HVAC Climate Control, Manual A/C) that are carried over from low series VY models including

the manual HVAC controller.

• Levels 2 to 5 models are fitted with an automatic air conditioning system (HVAC Occupant Climate Control, Auto

A/C) similar to high level VY Series models. These model levels are fitted with an instrument panel and OCC

control module that are unique to the WK Series.

• Level 5 models are also fitted with a rear remote controller.

Accordingly, removal and installation information for MY2004 W K Series vehicles is provided and located as follows:

• Level 1 Models:

For removal and installation information of all HVAC related components, refer to the required component/s in

Section 2B, HVAC CLIMATE CONTROL (MANUAL A/C) – REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in the MY2003 VY

and V2 Series Service Information.

• Level 2 to 5 Models:

For removal and installation information of the OCC control module, refer to Sect ion 2E, 2. 1 OC C CONT ROL

MODULE.

For removal and installation information of the Multi Function Display (MFD), refer to Section 12I, 2.1 MU LT I

FUNCTION DISPLAY.

For removal and installation information of the Rear Remote Control, refer to Section 2E, 2.3 REAR REMOTE

CONTROL.
