Service on or around the airbag system / Seat belt pretensioner system components or their wiring
must be performed only by an authorised Holden retailer. Observe all the warnings in the Service
Information and disable the systems before servicing on or around the components and the wiring
of the systems. Failure to follow the WARNINGS could result in unintended activation of the sys-
tems or could render the systems inoperative. Either of these two conditions may result in severe
injury.

1. PRECAUTIONS
• When disconnecting the battery terminals, be sure to (1) turn off the ignition switch and all other switches,
(2) disconnect the negative (-) terminal wire and then (3) disconnect the positive (+) terminal wire. Con-
nect the wires in the reverse order of disconnecting.
• When di sconnecti ng the co nnectors, b e sure to u nlock th e connec tor lock (i f equipped) and then p ull the
connector shells to detach them. Do not pull the wires.
• Connect the connectors by holding the connector shells. Make sure they are securely locked.
• Install the wiring harness securely without any slack.
• When installing parts, make sure the wiring harness is not interfered with or pinched by them.
• Avoid routing the wiring harness near or around sharp corners or edges of the vehicle body or parts as
much as possible. If necessary, protect the wiring harness by winding tape or similar around it.
• When re placing a fus e, make sure to use the specif ied capacity fus e. Using a fuse wi th a larger ca pacity
can cause damage to the electrical parts.
• Do not handle electrical/ electronic parts (computer, relay, etc.) roughly or drop them.
• Do not expos e electrical/ ele ctronic parts to high temp eratures (Appr oximately 80°C(176 °F) or higher) or
water.
• Be sure to insert the tester probe into the wiring harness side of the connector for inspection.

2.8 WIRE / CONNECTOR COLOUR SYMBOLS
The wire / connector colour is abbreviated to three or five letters.
There ar e two k ind s of colou red wir e us ed in this vehic le. One is a single-coloured wire and the other is dual-
coloured (striped) wire.
The single-coloured wire uses three or five letter s (i.e. “GRN”); the dual-coloured wire uses two colour combi-
nations (i.e. “GRN/YEL”). The first colour represents the base colour of the wire (“GRN” in the figure) and the
