WARNING:

For vehicles equipped with Supplementary Restraint (Airbag) System:

• Service on and around the airbag system components or wiring must be performed only by an

authorised HOLDEN retailer. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM COMPONENTS and WIRING LOCATION

VIEW under GENERAL DESCRIPTION in Section 10B AIRBAG SYSTEM in order to confirm

whether you are performing service on or near the airbag system components or wiring. Please

observe all WARNINGS and SERVICE PRECAUTIONS under ON-VEHICLE SERVICE in Section

10B AIRBAG SYSTEM before performing service on or around the air bag system components or

wiring. Failure to follow WARNINGS could result in unintentional activation of the system or

could render the system inoperative. Either of these two conditions may result in severe injury.

• Technical service work must be started at least 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to

the “LOCK” position and the negative cable is disconnected from the battery. Otherwise, the sys-

tem may be activated by reserve energy in the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM).

2. EMBLEMS

2.1 SERVICE NOTES

Emblems are attached to the vehicle with double-sided adhesive tape. The following illustrations describe the

positions each emblem is located on the vehicle. When replacing an emblem, refer to the following notes.

• Adjacent components or paintwork should be protected from damage with masking tape.

• Removal of the emblems is made easier with the use of a heat-lamp or heat gun to warm the adhesive.

Do NOT place the heat source too close to the emblem.

• Prior to affixin g an emblem, cl ean the surf ace with a wax and grease remov e such as Prepsol or equiva-

lent. Remove all residue with a clean, dry cloth.

• To ensure maximum adhesion, warm the surface where the emblem is to be applied to approximately

21°C.

• Press firmly over the entire emblem for at least 10 seconds to ensure maximum adhesion.

2.2 GRILLE LION EMBLEM

1. The lion emblem aligns wi th three holes in the radiator

grille.

2.3 FENDER AWD EMBLEM

1. The AWD emblem aligns centrally with, and 15 mm

above, the fender turn signal lamp.

2.4 TAILGATE LION EMBLEM

1. The lion emblem aligns centrally with the tailgate lock

button.

2.5 TAILGATE HOLDEN EMBLEM

1. The Holden emblem is positioned 23 mm inboard of

the left-hand edge of the tailgate and 10 mm above the

crease line slightly above the upper edge of the rear

bumper bar.

2.6 TAILGATE CRU ZE EM BLE M

1. The Cruze em blem is posi tioned 23 mm inb oard of the

right-hand edge of the tailgate and 10 mm above the

crease line slightly above the upper edge of the rear

bumper bar.
