CHANGEOVER PROCEDURE FOR RADIO CA SSETTE PLAYER – CD STACKER UNIT
In 1990 Eurovox, in conjunction with Holden, initiated a radio/cassette changeover service to allow rapid
replacement of defective radio/cassette units (ADL 47/90). Although not formally announced, this program has
expanded to include the compact disc units.
To identif y opportunities to fur ther improve the servic e provided and ac hieve the obj ec tives and requir ements of this
program, the standard operating procedures for the changeover service have recently been reviewed.
The following enhancements have been initiated:
1. Revised changeover procedure for supply and return of audio units.
2. Revised fault diagnosis form in flow chart form at. This form has been designed to lead the technician through
the audio unit diagnosis step by step.
3. Revised changeover request form . This f orm conc entrates on symptom s assoc iated with the audio unit failure.
A brief customer interview will be required to correctly complete this form.
4. The appointment of a Eurovox quality liaison representative. Eurovox has appointed Mr Colin Moreland to the
position of Quality Liaison Representative. Colin will spend a considerable amount of time visiting and liaising
with Dealerships to provide product support. Specifically his role will include:
Providing assistance to the Dealers in the methods of correct diagnosis.
Assisting in the diagnosis of difficult complaints.
On site, at dealership assistance with problems relating to the changeover service.
Liaising with difficult complaint customers where assistance is requested by the Dealer.
Eurovox will notify Dealerships in advance of Colin’s visits. Dealerships are encouraged to take full advantage of
Eurovox’s initiative in this respect. Dealerships can contact Colin by phone on 1800 658 694 or 0419 559 465.
The audio unit warranty changeover service was initiated by Eurovox at Holden’s request so that warranty related
defects affecting audio system components could be rectified effectively and without major inconvenience to
customers.
Continued product improvement and ongoing availability of changeover units hinges on the speed at which
defective units are returned to Eurovox. On rec eipt of the r eturned unit, Eurovox will perform root caus e analysis for
problem resolution purposes and report to Holden, and will refurbish the unit for return back into the changeover
system.
Whilst Eurovox has initiated action to improve their service to Holden Dealerships, a commitment from every
Dealership to comply with the procedures and diagnosis requirements is also required. For the changeover
program to work effectively, service staff must follow the fault diagnosis charts and complete the Dealer changeover
request form and fax them to Eurovox on (03) 9237 0808.
Please ensure all service staff are aware of these requirements and comply with the procedures at all times.
Should any difficulties be encountered with the changeover system, contact Eurovox directly:
