
3. FINAL DRIVE AND DRIVE SHAFTS
3.1 GENERAL INFORMATION
Independent rear suspension is fitted as standard equipment on all HSV GTO and GTS Coupe Models. For HSV
GTO Coupe Models two final drive ratios are available. All HSV GTO Coupe models fitted with automatic
transmission are fitted final drive ratio of 3.07:1. All HSV GTO Coupe models fitted with manual transmission are
fitted with final drive ratio of 3.73:1. All HSV GTS Coupe models are fitted with final drive ration of 3.91:1.
Production option G80 Limited Slip Differential (LSD), (also referred tot as Spin Resistant Differential – SRD) is
fitted as equipment on all HSV GTO Coupe and GTS Coupe Models regardless of final drive ratio.
The f inal drive assem blies fitted to HSV GT O Coupe Models f itted with autom atic transm ission c arry over from the
HSV Clubsport VX series Models fitted with the HSV 255 kW engine and automatic transmission.
The final drive assemblies fitted to HSV GTO Coupe Models fitted with manual transmission carry over from the
HSV Clubsport VX series Models fitted with the HSV 255 kW engine and manual transmission.
The final drive assemblies fitted to HSV GTS Coupe Models fitted with manual transmission carry over from the
HSV GTS Sedan VX series Models fitted with the HSV 300 kW engine and manual transmission.
