IMPORTANT

1. GENERAL I NFORMATI O N
All inf ormation relating to body dimensions, inc luding the f ront, r ear and tr ans miss ion cr oss members for VX
Series Models is as detailed in Section 1A2 BODY DIMENSIONS of the VT Series I Service Information,
noting the following:
Due to the introduction of side frame member bolts with a tapered boss at the head end of the bolt
(introduced approx im ately January 2000), alignm ent of the f ront sus pension cros sm em ber is not necessary
on VX Series Models. If necessary, refer to Section 3 FRONT SUSPENSION in the VT Series I Service
Information for additional information.
Regardless of the type of transmission fitted to a VX Series Model, operation
2.3 TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBER ALIGNMENT in Section 1A2 BODY DIMENSIONS in the VT
Series I Service Information remains unchanged. It should be noted though, that the illustration shown for
this operation is a typical view only. For a detailed illustration of the transmission crossmember for a
particular transmission type, refer to the relevant transmission Section in the VT or VX Series Service
Information.
