1. GENERAL I NFORMATI O N

The clutch and operating system used for VX Series models equipped with the GEN III V8 engine and manual

transmission essentially remains unchanged from VT Series II models.

W hile a m aterial change for the s elf-adjusting r amps in the pres sure plate assem bly has been m ade, this does not

affect service procedures and the new assembly will service back to earlier build engines.

Therefore, refer to Section 7A1 CLUTCH – GEN III V8 ENGINE, in the VT Series II Service Information, for all

information relating to this clutch and its operating system.
