1. HSV 255 KW & 300 KW ENGINE
1.1 ENGINE MECHANICAL

Series Clubsport Models. For HSV GTS Coupe Models fitted with HSV 300 kW C4B engine carry over from the
HSV VX Series GTS Sedan Models.

1.2 ENGINE COOLING
The engine cooling system for HSV GTO Coupe Models fitted with HSV 255 kW engine carry over from the HSV
VX Series Clubsport Models.

1.5 STARTING SYSTEM
The Delco Remy, 6 pole, 4 brush starter motor, fitted to all HSV GTO Coupe Models fitted with HSV 255 kW engine
and HSV GTS Coupe fitted with HSV 300 kW engine carries over from the Holden VT Series II Models.
1.6 IGNITION SYSTEM
The ignition system fitted to all HSV GTO Coupe Models fitted with HSV 255 kW engine and HSV GTS Coupe fitted
with HSV 300 kW engine carries over from the Holden VX Series I Models.

The emission control system for HSV GTO Coupe Models fitted with HSV 255 kW engine and HSV GTS Coupe

1.8 ENGINE TUNE
Engine tuning is simplified by electronic control of both the air/fuel mixture and ignition timing by the Powertrain
Control module (PCM), which controls the ratio of the air/fuel mixture to near optimum condition.

2. CLUTCH – HSV 255 KW AND 300 KW ENGINE

The clutch and operating system used for HSV GTO and GTS Coupe Series Models equipped with the HSV 255
kW and 300 kW engine and manual transmission carries over from Holden VX Series Models.
